Sunshine Building Products Opens New Location.

Since 1993, Jerry and Marya Kielstra have worked hard to build multiple businesses starting from the ground up. Their first business was Edson Truss, located North East of Edson, Alberta. Manufacturing engineered roof trusses and floor systems for residential, commercial and agricultural projects of all sizes.
In 2013 they started Sunshine Building Products as a full-service lumber yard and hardware store. They have an in house architect technician to provide their customers with blueprints and service for all aspects of the building process.
Today Gerry and Marya have involved the second generation of their family into the business. The new location for Sunshine Building Products is 15,126 square feet, including storefront and office spaces and has a paved yard. The new store is located in the town of Edson and will be managed by their son Hessel and his wife, Lauren. They will continue to Operate the Truss and Concrete plant outside of town. The new store will officially open July 1st, with a planned grand opening later this year.
Marya says, “We’ve been a Sexton member since 2012. Over the years, Sexton Group has helped us with any issues that have arisen with vendors or products. I find them very responsive and look forward to many more years with them.”
